The Importance Of Posting Consistently

Blogging has caused a super explosion of the online business and the way ideas across the world are transmitted. Right now I have two blogs in my reader that are from people that are more than a thousand miles away. Another reason that blogging has become such an online powerhouse is anyone can create and publish a blog which makes it possible for them to make money online. Websites like blogger and wordpress allow users to start a blog with absolutely no money or experience. This means whether you are 13 or 68 you have the ability to start your own online presence and if you take the time to blog appropriately you will reach success online.

The most important aspect of any blog is the content. If you want a larger readership you must put yourself in the shoes of the reader. What would make you not only come to a blog, but also sign up as a reader? Well for me it is content that is updated regularly which I cannot find anywhere else. You may be thinking that this does not sound hard, but after a few months of writing article after article it takes pretty much everything I have just to write my next post. Usually a burn out such as this goes two ways either the blog dies from lack of updates or the blogger such as myself truly loves the blog and finds ways to get inspiration. I remember one thing I read from an older blogger who now has over a hundred thousand readers. He said that after six months of blogging he really and truly considered giving up his blogging career and get a real job. Well it is a good thing he didn’t because the last check I did on his income he was making well over a hundred thousand dollars annually.

Now you can post and post and post, but if you don’t get the word out about your blog then it is pretty much pointless. One good way to gain exposure is link building and the website I use for building links is Free Web Traffic. This website covers the basics such as directory submission, social submission, article submission, and link exchanges. It also give links to all the top SEO and internet marketing blogs. Another resource that pretty much taught me everything I know about SEO is v7n.com/forums. This webmaster community is one of the best on the web. The webmaster that run it truly know what they are doing and always welcome new visitors to their community. If you decide to join this forum be sure not to spam it is the quickest way to get banned. The last resource that I use constantly is the free traffic system which you can find by typing “free traffic system” into Google.

Three Important Factors For Google Ranking

Three Important Factors For Google Ranking

All webmasters including myself want to rank well in Google for keywords which bring a lot of traffic and give us the ability to make money online. If you want to rank well in Google then remember there is no exact guide since Google is constantly changing their algorithm, but if you stick with a few whitehat webmaster ideals ranking well in Google will become more likely and much easier. The first way to rank well in Google is to work on your website making sure that it is updated regularly with content that is optimized with certain key terms. The next step is to step away from your website into the web and begin attracting attention. You can do this in the forum of social submissions, directory submissions, and link exchanges. After the completion of these two time is usually a big factor of where your website will rank.

On-site SEO is one of the most complicated webmaster techniques. For beginners they will usually end up hurting their website position by overdoing keywords or not filling out the metas. If you want your website to do well then you will need to put the keywords you want to rank well for within the content and titles, but if you repeat the keywords over and over then google will suspect you cheating and drop you deep within the SERPs. Usually a few instances of the keywords will be enough to rank your website well for any given keyterm. Meta tags are what search engines read and display within their results. Make sure to fill out the meta tags for each and every page on your website. This will allow visitors to land not only on your index, but all pages within your website. This opens the door to rank well for many more key terms.

The second key factor for ranking well in Google is stepping away from your website and doing promotion across the web. There are literally thousands of websites which will allow you to add links. When building links it is important to focus on two things. The first is how important is the page you are getting the link from. A page with PR 9 is worth 1000 links from pages with PR 1. This is why websites can rank very well with few links. The next thing to think about when building links is the number. Remember webmasters have been marketing their websites for quite a while so if you want to rank well then you must be willing to market your website for an equal amount of time.

The third factor and one that you really have no control over is time. Now there are thousands upon thousands of websites and blogs started daily. The majority will not last a year and Google really does not like displaying websites that have died. So usually within the first 6 months to a year Google will be expecting your website to fail. They will not usually give a new website very good rank. The best way to avoid this sand box affect is to create multiple websites so when you want a website to have more time you can forget about it and work on one of your other websites for a few months. I have found it will usually take around 1 year before a website breaks away completely from the Google sandbox though I have seen good results within the serps within two months.

If you would like to learn more about internet marketing and have more resources that will help you increase your presence then visit free website traffic.

Do You Work Hard Enough?

Do You Work Hard Enough?

Making money online is a huge goal for millions of webmasters across the world. For the majority this will never happen and usually occurs when people figure out the amount of work needed to succeed online. This is something I learned very quickly. Yes I make several hundred dollars each month, but for the past year and a half I put in 3-12 hours each and every day. So if you are not making enough it will be for one of two reasons. The first is you have picked a project that is not monetarily sound. Such projects would be a website or blog that has little or no audience. The second reason that people fail is they expect to get rich by only working one or two hours a day. This may work, but it will truly take years before you begin seeing a real income.

Now you may be thinking 3-12 hours each day is way too much for you, but if you think about it working online does not always seem like work. For instance one of my biggest time consumers is checking all of my stats and email. I have three email accounts and usually get around 100 emails each day. I also check all my stat counters, google webmaster tools for any changes in keyword position, and my feeds. Another thing I enjoy checking is the SERPs to make sure I am still number 1 for certain terms such as make money online free.

If you are making enough or on the path to making enough stepping up your work game will not be needed. This is for those that have seen absolutely no results from their work. Also if you have not given your presence enough time then don’t expect to see much results. The google sandbox usually lasts around 4-6 months as long as you are building links at least once a week. Remember no one will make money without work get out there and begin producing great content and making connections. Spend time each day on marketing and promotion making sure to reach as many people as possible. If you do this then failure will become much less possible.
